The brain is involved in everything we do, and, like any other part of the body, it needs to be cared for too. Caring for our brain is putting it to use frequently. Just like the way the bones are weak when you don't exercise, the same way the brain can lose power without stimulation. Optimizing your brain will help you to be more productive and here are some ways you can optimize your brain to work smarter:

1. Build your vocabulary: Building your vocabulary frequently will help optimize your brain power. You can do this by reading or watching educational videos. Jot down any words learned in any book or video, then, use them in your sentences subsequently. This is how you build your vocabulary and learn every day. A rich vocabulary has a way of making you sound smart.

2. Listen to music: Music has a way of boosting your energy and brain power. If you want to work smarter and faster, tune in to some good music and boost your creative thinking.

3. Meditate: Meditation will increase your productivity, boost your creativity, and improve your relationships. Meditation has been proven to increase your brainpower by improving concentration, memory, brainpower, and emotions.

4. Optimize sleep: The brain tends to work better and smarter when you get enough sleep. Depriving yourself of sleep will only drain you and your energy and make you less active. Make getting 8 hours of sleep daily a must, this will help regulate your emotions and make you more productive and active.

5. Eat smart: Plan your meal and snack breaks during the day, don’t wait until you’re starving. Drink plenty of water. Prepare high-protein meals and low-sugar snacks to optimize your energy and mood. When you eat well, your brain functions well.

6. Learn a new skill: When you leave your comfort zone and do something new and different, your brain improves in it's functionality, and that's a good thing. It doesn't matter the skill you're learning, be it painting or a new language, or carpentry--- anytime you're learning something, your brain power is improving and this helps your brain work smarter.

Bottom line

Incorporating brain exercises into your everyday life will get you to challenge your mind, sharpen your cognitive skills, and possibly learn something new and enriching along the way, too. Optimize your brain to work smarter daily!
